GENERAL GUIDELINES

Workweek
In the event of inclement weather during the workweek, we will follow the policy of Anne Arundel County Public Schools: 

• If schools are closed for the day due to weather, the office and building are closed for the entire day (no afternoon or evening activities unless otherwise notified or posted on the website, see "Evenings" below). 

• If schools close early due to weather, the office and building close for the rest of the day (no afternoon or evening activities).

• If schools are open, but after-school and evening activities are canceled, the buildings and all activities after 4:00 p.m. are canceled.

• If any of the above occur, outside groups (those not related to the ministry of SPUMC, but just using our building) are NOT to meet.

Evenings
In the event that the weather clears by evening and the staff member or church group leader feels an absolute need to meet, they will contact the other members of their group.  (See above to have an announcement posted on our website.)  Otherwise, you can assume there is no meeting, rehearsal, etc.  Please be advised that the parking lot may not be clear! 

Saturday
In the event of inclement weather on Saturday, the staff member or church group leader will make the judgment call and contact their group members. (See above to have an announcement posted on our website.)   Please be advised that the parking lot may not be clear! 

Sunday
In the event of inclement weather on Sunday, the senior pastor will make the judgment call. The decision will be made by 6:00 AM.  If you do not see a notice of cancellation on the website, then church services will be held.
