Christmas Eve Worship

We hope that you will make SPUMC part of your Christmas Eve plans and invite your friends and family, too. We offer five different worship services on Christmas Eve for people of all ages and worship styles. Children are welcome at every service, though families will find that our 3:00 and 5:00 pm services will have special elements geared toward children.

3:00 pm: Family Service I (Toddler & Preschool Age Children)

  • Informal Pageant
  • Carols & Glowstick Lighting
  • Relaxed & Participatory

5:00 pm: Family Service II (Elementary School Children)

  • Christmas Pageant featuring our 2nd Graders
  • Carols & Glowstick Candlelighting
  • A brief Christmas Message

Birthday Cake for Jesus & Sunday School Art Show immediately following both of our family services in Fellowship Hall

7:00 pm: Contemporary Christmas Service

  • A mix of traditional & contemporary Christmas Music
  • Carols & Candlelighting
  • Christmas Message by Rev. Ron

9:00 pm: Traditional Christmas Service

  • Music by Brass Quintet, Bells & Christmas Choir

Sunday, December 25: Christmas Day Worship

Join us for relaxed worship on Christmas Morning at 10:00 am as we linger in the Christmas celebration. Children are invited to bring a Christmas gift they received for “Show ‘n Tell.” Come sing some more carols and wear your pajamas or new Christmas sweater!
