THE WISE WOMEN OF FAITH WWF worship series continues this week with a spotlight on Elisabeth Moltmann-Wendel (1926–2016), an important German writer, thinker and pioneer in European feminist theology. She spent her life showing that women's stories and voices matter deeply in faith. Instead of focusing on strict rules, she taught that God cares about the whole person—both body and spirit—and believed the church should be a place of true friendship and kindness for everyone.
For seven weeks, we are highlighting a different contemporary woman’s voice weekly as part of the sermon. Some books are available for purchase at the Welcome Desk, including this week’s featured resource, "I Am My Body." Check out the Book Display in Fellowship Hall and/or visit our Top 5 Page to learn more about the powerful witness of these women. severnaparkumc.org/Top5
