ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
SPUMCNS, an MSDE-approved preschool, offers half-day and extended sessions for students ages three and four. Our curriculum, approved by the Maryland State Department of Education, promotes personal, physical, cognitive, and social development through wide and varied experiences in literature, math, science, social studies, art, music, and faith. The school year runs from September through May, and classes are capped at 14 students, with two teachers per class. Our experienced, highly trained staff members all share a passion for working with preschoolers.
To attend, your child must be fully immunized, completely potty trained, and must have turned three or four by September 1 of the school year for which they’re enrolling.

**ALUMNI FAMILIES: If you registered a child at SPUMCNS between 2017/18 and 2020/21, regardless of whether that child ended up attending, you must contact us to add any sibling’s name to your Procare account before you can register the sibling. Please email OFFICE@SPUMCNS.ORG to provide us with the full name and birth date of any child you want to register for the upcoming school year.
Sessions, Tuition Rates, Enrollment Requirements:
Half day sessions two days/week $230/month
AM: 8:45-11:30 or PM: 12:00-2:45
Extended day sessions two days/week. $360/month
Half day sessions $290/month
MWF AM: 8:45-11:30 or PM: 12:00-2:45
Extended day sessions:
MWF: 8:45-1:45 $430/month
M-F: 8:45-1:45 $640/month
We will contact families via phone to confirm placement beginning the week of January 11th. At that time, you’ll be asked to provide a debit card number or bank routing/account number for automatic billing. We’ll collect a non-refundable registration fee of $100.00 and one month’s tuition, which will be applied to the final month of the school year (May, 2022). You’ll be required to submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate at registration, and a physician-signed health certification form and immunization record prior to the start of school.
To withdraw your child and receive a refund of the tuition deposit, please notify us in writing by May 1st, 2021. After that date, the refund deposit is non-refundable. (Note: Should the pandemic impact our opening normally as planned in September, this date will be modified.)
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR:
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, our school is operating on a modified hybrid schedule at a reduced rate of tuition. We are using virtual instruction and, conditions permitting, we hold regular in-person classroom sessions outdoors, adhering to applicable CDC and MSDE guidelines. We constantly evaluate county and local Covid-19 rates, and hope to return to the classrooms at some point this school year, at which time normal tuition rates will resume.
A few spots are available in our 3- and 4-year-old classes for the January through May semester. If you would like to learn more, or are interested in enrolling your child for this year, please send an email with your contact information, the best time for us to call, and your child’s name and date of birth, and we’ll contact you the next business day.
